Wildlife paintings have always been a way for me to something I love with abstract elements in them. I love painting a buffalo and then adding in a variety of colors and textures to bring it to life. Each piece starts with a moment—a bison stepping into morning light, a fox pausing just long enough to be seen, a bird lifting off from a branch. I try to capture not just the animal, but the feeling and emotion of it. These paintings are my way of honoring the quiet, wild places that still exist and the creatures that move through them.
